什么是故事?
自古以来，天地人间，不知发生过多少感天动地的事迹，有人的地方就有情怀，有情怀的地方就有故事。
在远离故土的北美，生活着众多的华夏儿女。他们是时代的弄潮儿，是一群生命不息，奋斗不止的人，是一群同样胸怀家国天下的人。
他们是炎黄的优秀子孙，是龙的传人。身上流淌着中华民族的血液，传承着中华民族的善良、勇敢和对和平的热爱。他们在北美的土地上耕耘、收获、奉献着，已经成为这片热土不可分割的一部分。
多少年来，他们在太平洋岸边，在落基山下，在大西洋的风中，在阿巴拉契亚群山旁，奋力拼搏，和其他族裔一起用热血和青春浇灌这片广袤而热情的土地，生儿育女，把中华民族灿烂的文明，优良的传统，博大的人文精神传承并融合进当地的生活中，展示在国际舞台上！
他们，一群普通的人，在北美奋斗史上绘出了自己不朽蓝图。他们，一群砥砺前行的人，谱写了在北美生活中恢弘的交响曲。他们，一群有风骨的人，在北美树立着中华民族的自信形象。
他们到底讲述了什么样的动人故事?
亲爱的朋友们!
大洋岸边，浪花激荡；群山之巅，星光璀璨。在这澎拜的时代，我们《海外精英朗读者》节目组担当着平凡而光荣的任务。我们将用激昂的文字，优美的诗歌，深情传诵海外华人们广阔的胸襟，烟火的情怀，奋进的风貌。我们将以中英双语书籍记录、保存他们为家人、为人类、为世界和平做出的贡献；以网络和舞台的魅力，传播他们平凡中的伟大！
“Reciter—The Elites of Overseas”
Since ancient times, there have been so many earth-shaking stories that took place in the world. Where there are people, there are feelings, and where there are feelings, there are stories.
In North America, far away from their homeland, there are many children of Chinese origin. They are the trendsetters of the times, they are a group of people who never cease to amaze and constantly striving for life, and they are a group of people who care for their home as well as the land they live in.
They are the outstanding successors of Yan Di and Huang Di, descendants the of dragon, with the blood of the Chinese nation flowing in them, they inherited the kindness, courage and love of peace of the Chinese nation. They have cultivated, harvested, and devoted to the land of North America, and have become an inseparable part of this great land.
For many years, they have worked hard on the Pacific coast, under the Rockies, in the Atlantic wind and by the Appalachian Mountains, together with other ethnic groups, they have nourished and raised their families on this vast and passionate land. By inheriting and integrating the splendid civilization, fine tradition, and broad humanistic spirit of the Chinese nation into local life, they have been displaying these characteristics proudly on the international stage!
They are a group of ordinary people, who created their own blueprint in the ongoing history of North America, and they are a group of people who strove forward, wrote magnificent symphonies in North American life. They are also a group of people who set up an image of the Chinese in North America as positive and confident with a character to be proud of.
What kind of moving stories have they been telling us?
Dear friends!
On the shores of the ocean, the waves are surging; On top of the mountains, the stars are shining. In this era of everchanging power, our program "Reciter—The Elites of Overseas" undertakes an ordinary and glorious task. With high-spirited words and beautiful poems, we will be telling the stories of the overseas Chinese, with their broad mind, passionate feelings, and brave endeavor. With bilingual books published in both Chinese and English, we will record and preserve their contributions to families, mankind and world peace, and with glamour of network and on stage, we will broadcast and spread the greatness of these everyday ordinary people.

（二） 所有被邀请参与的华人精英作品，经审核录用将被编辑成精美书集，由《加拿大国际华人作家协会》出版。
（三） 一年一度诵读庆典活动在加拿大隆重举行时将特邀所有朗诵者为贵宾出席！
（四） 本节目编委组会为每一个个人专辑写一篇精美的卷首语用专业的声音朗读。
（五） 邀请参加的名誉主席机构、协办组织机构等每年至少向朗读者节目提供五个或以上不同的人或单位的故事参加在朗读者节目中来。
