第一届环球华语歌唱比赛在各赞助商们、组委会和评委会的辛勤付出下取得圆满成功，第二届环球华语歌唱比赛将会更上一层楼，多伦多赛区将会由管弦乐团伴奏，此乃在多伦多华人社区甚至主流社会均实属罕见，而在比赛中进入决赛的选手将会和评委一同在舞台上高歌，相信环球华语歌唱比赛在加拿大音乐比赛领域将会盛放空前、意义非凡！
中华文化源远流长，各个朝代流传下来的诗词歌赋浩瀚如烟，将古代华夏大地建构成文学与音乐的艺术王国。翻开近代中国音乐史，看到西方的作曲理论与技法的流入，从而催生了一批又一批优秀的作曲家和民族音乐作品。无论是歌剧作品、艺术歌曲、民歌创作、流行音乐、合唱体裁及儿童歌咏作品，在当代中国都呈现出百花齐放、欣欣向荣的景象！
第一届“环球华语歌唱比赛”取得令人鼓舞的成绩，获得各国地区的参赛者踊跃参与和认同，香港总决赛之评委们一致认为这是一个史无前例的中文歌曲比赛；来自世界各地的参赛选手均展现卓越的歌唱才能，以及演唱中国歌曲的独特演绎能力。本届“环球华语歌唱比赛”将在全球范围进行选拔赛赛区包括 ：北京 ~ 中国、 纽约 ~ 美国、多伦多 ~ 加拿大、东京 ~ 日本、罗马 ~ 意大利、新西兰、香港 ~ 中国，而总决赛将于本年“十一黄金周”在香港亚洲电视演播厅隆重举行。
2024 第二届环球华语歌唱比赛的宗旨：弘扬中华文化 唱响华夏之声
2024第二届“环球华语歌唱比赛”将是首度于全球范围内“全方位”演唱中国作品的声乐大赛。比赛项目包括：中国近代艺术歌曲、中国歌剧（咏叹调组、重唱组）、中国民歌、现代创作歌曲、流行歌曲、儿童歌曲，以及合唱组。比赛获奖选手将获颁发全球总决赛评委会主席、中国著名女高音歌唱家、教育家郭淑珍教授签名和国际艺术家音乐与舞蹈协会证书！

2024 第二届“环球华语歌唱比赛”多伦多 ~ 加拿大赛区评委均来自本地及北美地区的优秀歌唱家和青年音乐家。
比赛日程安排：
- 2024年9月5日（星期四）- 截止上载初赛视频；
- 2024年9月6日（星期五）- 公布初赛结果；
- 2024年9月7 - 8日（星期六 - 日）于多伦多音乐学院进行复赛；
- 2024年9月14日（星期六）晚上7时 多伦多 ~ 加拿大赛区决赛
蒋在北约克Meridian Arts Centre 的 George Weston Recital Hall（5040 Yonge St, North York, ON）举行决赛以及颁布名次，并即场举行颁奖仪式及获奖者音乐会。
当日所有表演将会由“多伦多音乐学院管弦乐团”现场伴奏。

2024 The 2nd "Global Chinese Singing Competition Toronto (Canada Region Audition)"

Organized by the Artists International Music and Dance Association (Canada) and co-organized by the Toronto School of Music (Canada), the 2nd Global Chinese Singing Competition Toronto (Canada Region Audition)" news was released on July 11, 2024 (Thursday) at the Toronto School of Music.
The first Global Chinese Singing Competition was a complete success due to the hard work of various sponsors, organizing committees and judges. The second Global Chinese Singing Competition will be even better. The Toronto competition will be accompanied by an orchestra. , which is rare in the Chinese community in Toronto and even in mainstream society. The finalists in the competition will sing on the stage with the judges. The Global Chinese Singing Competition will be unprecedented and significant in the field of Canadian music competitions!
“Chinese culture has a rich history with poems and songs passed down through various dynasties like wisps of smoke, creating an artistic kingdom of literature and music in ancient China. Examining the evolution of modern Chinese music, we observe the infusion of Western composition theories and techniques, resulting in remarkable composers and national musical works. From opera compositions and art songs to folk creations, pop music, choral genres, and children’s songs, contemporary China presents a vibrant tapestry of creativity.”
The 2nd Global Chinese Singing Competition aims to promote Chinese culture and showcase the talent of singers worldwide. The inaugural competition received enthusiastic participation and recognition from contestants across various countries and regions. Judges at the Hong Kong finals praised it as an unprecedented event, where participants demonstrated outstanding singing abilities and a unique flair for performing Chinese songs. This year’s competition features selection rounds in cities such as Beijing, Seattle, Toronto, Vienna, Tokyo, Rome, Bangkok, Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong, with the finals scheduled during the National Day Golden Week at the Asia Television Studio in Hong Kong. It’s wonderful to see such a celebration of Chinese music and culture on a global stage!
The 2nd "Global Chinese Singing Competition" in 2024 will be the first vocal competition to perform "all-round" Chinese works on a global scale. Competition items include: modern Chinese art songs, Chinese operas (aria group, ensemble group), Chinese folk songs, modern creative songs, pop songs, children's songs, and chorus groups. The winners of the competition will be awarded the signature of Professor Guo Shuzhen, Chairman of the Global Finals Jury, the famous Chinese soprano singer and educator, a certificate from the International Artists Music and Dance Association, and a special guest performer from the North American Production Centre of Hong Kong Global TV!
2024 The 2nd "Global Chinese Singing Competition" Toronto ~ Canadian competition judges are all outstanding singers and young musicians from local and North America.
Competition schedule:
- September 5, 2024 (Thursday) - Deadline for uploading preliminary competition videos;
- September 6, 2024 (Friday) - Preliminary results announced;
The rematch will be held at the Toronto School of Music on September 7-8, 2024 (Saturday-Sunday);
September 14, 2024 (Saturday) 7:00 pm Toronto ~ Canada Region Audition
The finals and rankings will be announced at the George Weston Recital Hall of the Meridian Arts Centre in North York.
The award ceremony and winners' concert will be held on-site.
All performances on that day will be accompanied by the “TSM Symphony Orchestra".
